Time Machine

I have a time-machine and I use it often to go back in time.
To relive what I left behind, to quench the nostalgia inside.
What seems alive has been dead for a decade, yet I renew it every night.
I renew, I repeat, I reshuffle the memories — the bonds and love.
New stories are born of same characters, feelings and the familiar backdrop.
Some are fulfillments, some are innovations, and rest are just gatherings of the loved ones.
Sometimes I borrow few from this life and mix with what I had.
Sometimes I wish I could have it all.
But things happen for a reason, so I am here and rest is there.
Glad I cannot change the past; I am not omniscient, maybe I won't like the present.
